THE WORLD SERIES OF COMEDY RECORDING SHOW
The World Series of Comedy (WSOC) is North America's largest touring comedy festival. The WSOC produces 17 events per year in cities across the country, culminating in the year-end Finals, The Main Event in Las Vegas. Notable alumni of the festival include Josh Blue, Kabir Singh, Beth Stelling, Kiry Shabazz, JR De Guzman, Ryan Neimiller, Ellis Rodriguez, Zoltan Kaszas, Willie Macc, James Schraeder, Mia Jackson, and hundreds more working comedians. In addition to many other writing and performing credits, former contestants have been featured on The Tonight Show, Late Night, Jimmy Kimmel Live, Conan, Ellen, @midnight, The Pete Holmes Show, and The Late Show.
In 2022, The WSOC launched WSOC Records, a new division of the company focused on producing high quality audio recordings to release albums featuring the great performers that participate in the festival. An exclusive distribution deal was struck with Sirius XM to release content through their multiple standup comedy satellite radio channels. This year, The WSOC has added a new series of live performance events called WSOC Records Album Recording Shows to create content and specifically record full albums for distribution on Sirius XM.
DEREK LUNA
Living on the West coast and also the Midwest, Derek Luna has performed on some of comedy’s most iconic stages, including The Comedy Store, The Hollywood Improv and the Westside Comedy Theatre. He has performed at many festivals including the Savage Henry Comedy Festival in Humboldt CA. He is the 2018 winner of the Eliminator Comedy Challenge, and has toured extensively, opening up for Dusty Slay, Dave Keochner, Ali Wong, Theo Vonn and Maria Bamford to name a few. His unique blend of music, thought provoking comedy and absurdism makes for a truly unique show.
MICHAEL CHESELKA
Michael spent more than 15 years touring all 50 states and 17 foreign countries as a headlining comedian. His career spanned comedy clubs, colleges, cruise ships and cable-TV including appearances on HBO, Showtime, various sitcoms and several motion pictures. He began his career at the infamous Comedy Store in Los Angeles, and toured with the late Sam Kinison as one of the “Outlaws of Comedy.”
JOE LOWERS
After headlining his own show in Las Vegas for over 10 years, Joe has packed it up and taken it on the road! Comedic veteran Joe Lowers brings his unique style of comedy to the stage and has been entertaining audiences for over 25 years. His ability to involve the audience has made him a one-of-a-kind comedian. Joe not only involves the audience, but he also involves the other comics working with him. It’s a comedy show like you’ve never seen. No knock-knock jokes here, just incredible observations of non-stop adult entertainment.
