LAST WORKSHOP OF 2024!

330-809-0369 to reserve your spot!Ask ANY comedy club booker/owner: COMEDY CLUB OWNERS/BOOKERS NEED GOOD HOSTS! (Key word: "GOOD".)There is no downside to learning how to host a show. The comedy club Host isn't just a comedian who goes up and does his/her "10 minutes up front". He/she is the glue that sets the tone and keeps the show moving smoothly. They are the "mortar between the bricks".When you're a good host:*You can make a good show, GREAT!
*You learn not to be so scripted; you're not "married to your material"; you're "looser" on stage.
*You learn to tag onto other comedians' material.
*You train your comedic brain to "think on the fly".
*You dip your toe into crowd work.
*You set up the roster of comedians so THEY have an easier, more fun time on stage and that makes you look good.
*You learn the real essence of your bits and make your stuff tighter.
*You often work in front of larger audiences than "showcase shows" and open mics.
*You learn from the feature and headliner.
*You make contacts. Contacts that are happy when they see a Professional Host is taking the lead.
*You lessen the chances of audiences interrupting the show.
*You set the tone for the show.
*Your chances of moving into a feature spot are greater. And most of all:*YOU WORK MORE!*In this fun, INTERACTIVE, "hands-on", informative, affordable, workshop, you'll learn:*Show procedure/show flow
*Kicking off the show
*Setting the tone
*Comedian introductions format
*Taking charge of the lineup
*Tagging, callbacks, & crowd work
*Closing out a show...and MUCH more!

This is also a great workshop for anyone who has to engage in public speaking for their work!
